Terms of Service & Institutional Lending Policies

Updated: 2026-10-15 01:02 AM Verified Clean Official Documentation

Welcome to TFAST FinCore. By accessing or using our core financial platform, member portal, or administrative systems, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following institutional terms and conditions.

1. Institutional Loan Contracts & Disclosure

All credit facilities extended through the platform are governed by institutional loan agreements entered into between the licensed financial institution and the borrower.

  • Full Interest Transparency: Every loan application displays total interest payable, periodic amortization schedules, and upfront administration fees before final disbursement.
  • UMRA Tier 4 Compliance: Interest calculations comply with statutory caps and truth-in-lending disclosure standards established by the Ugandan Microfinance Regulatory Authority.
  • Collateral & Guarantees: Any movable asset pledged as security may be registered on the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) Security Interest in Movable Property Online (SIMPO) register.

2. Member Responsibilities & KYC Verification

Members must provide accurate and verifiable Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation, including government-issued National Identification Numbers (NIN), verified mobile phone numbers, and residential physical addresses.

Account holders are strictly responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their digital wallet credentials, PINs, and authentication passwords.

3. Savings Accounts & Balance Invariants

Withdrawal requests are processed strictly against unencumbered, cleared savings balances. Amounts pledged as security for active loans or acting as guarantor collateral remain locked until underlying obligations are fully liquidated.

4. SACCO Share Capital & Non-Withdrawable Equity

In SACCO institutions, share capital represents permanent institutional equity and is non-withdrawable. Shares may only be transferred to another eligible member in accordance with institutional bylaws and board approval.

5. Default & Delinquency Handling

In the event of payment default exceeding the contractual grace period (typically 30 days past due), the institution reserves the right to apply statutory late fees, realize registered collateral under the SIMPO Act, and notify credit reference registries in accordance with applicable laws.
